Ashley's Photography

Ashley's beautiful photography is almost entirely responsible for the fact that we know one another at all - I first learned of her by way of her photos. It's been quite some time since her photos were available to view online, but I've chosen over 50 images to include here to showcase her amazing work.

She has an especially sensitive eye for light. Her photographs of waterfalls are phenomenal, really the best I've ever seen - they're notable for her careful selection of controlled, ambient light in which to capture the subject, on days when the color of the scene is revealed to its best advantage under such subtle conditions. Her images of other subjects may utilize dazzling, direct light, but often constrained by some circumstance that limits the spread of that light to a confined area, allowing for a focal point that captures the eye's attention.

Ashley is a skilled photographer of many subjects, including portraiture and commercial products, but the selections on this page focus primarily on her landscape pictures. Many of her most intriguing shots are in black-and-white, so we've included some of the best examples of those here, too. A few of the shots bear her clever "Click Chick" watermark.
