Sketches for Sale: Tree Drawings from my Early Years on Maui, 1996 - 1998

Here's a selection of tree drawings that I did from life while living on Maui. I used to hike across the property of a ranch to reach these old, weirdly gnarled, native Hawaiian trees. It was an ordeal to get out there with all of my equipment in a backpack, but I often returned with two or three of these drawings for my effort. These small sketches were forerunners of some of my larger, more finished drawings such as "The Banshee" and "Triffids."

Those solitary hikes into the Hawaiian woods remain some of my most cherished memories, and these drawings are special to me. I hope you might see something special in them, too. Each drawing is numbered here. If you're interested in a piece, please contact me by e-mail and identify the piece by its number and by its title (or by the category that it belongs to: in this case, "tree drawings from Maui"). All prices include the cost of shipping.
